UNRSCE Boosts Digital Learning at Jinja College with Laptop Donation, Supporting New Curriculum for Over 1,300 Students
Jinja College received a significant boost to its digital learning capabilities on Thursday, April 10, 2025, with the donation of 20 laptops and a high-quality printer from the United Nations Regional Service Centre in Entebbe (UNRSCE).
The initiative aims to enhance digital literacy among students, support the implementation of Uganda’s new lower secondary curriculum which emphasizes ICT integration, and equip the school’s 1,382 students with essential 21st-century skills. The handover ceremony featured Mr. Paulin Djomo, Director of Administration at UNRSCE, presenting the equipment to Mr. Michael Dhikusooka, Head Teacher of Jinja College. This donation is part of a larger UN effort that saw 200 laptops distributed to selected secondary schools across Uganda.
